Some at Real Madrid rate Arsenal target Victor Osimhen highly.
That is according to Football Transfers, which has noted Madrid’s plan regarding Arsenal target Osimhen.
So, what has been reported about Real Madrid and Victor Osimhen, who has been linked with Arsenal? Let’s take a look.
Real Madrid rate Arsenal target Victor Osimhen highly
Well, according to Football Transfers, some figuresat Real Madrid want to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Madrid are keen on securing the services of Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer in the summer of 2024. Liverpool have been linked with the France international forward as well.
However, “some of the more experienced figures in the Real Madrid boardroom are against signing Mbappe”, according to the report.
Football Transfers has added that “there is a feeling” among some at Madrid that “Osimhen is a player closer in style to Karim Benzema”.
Benzema is a Madrid legend and one of the greatest strikers of all time. The Frenchman left Madrid in the summer of 2023 after 14 years at the Santiago Bernabeu. He scored 354 goals in 658 appearances for Madrid and won the La Liga title on four occasions and the UEFA Champions League five times.
Osimhen has been linked with Arsenal as well. Earlier this month, TuttoJuve reported that the Gunners are keen on signing the striker and will try to get him in the January transfer window.
The Independent has reported that the Nigeria international striker has a release clause of £120 million in his contract.
Real Madrid could win race for Arsenal target Victor Osimhen
In my view, Real Madrid would be a more appealing club than Arsenal for Victor Osimhen. I think that the Napoli striker would pick Los Blancos over the Gunners.
Madrid are arguably the biggest club in the world. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti won the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League double in 2021-22, and he could repeat those heroics this time around as well.
Arsenal could not win the Premier League title last season and may not do it this campaign either, especially if they do not sign a striker in January.
The chance to move to Madrid does not come often, and I believe that Osimhen would not think twice about accepting an offer from Los Blancos.
