Arsenal Sporting Director Edu Gaspar has now been blown away one youngster in yesterday’s win over Leicester City.
Edu has probably enjoyed a slightly different January to usual at Arsenal.
Although the team will be working diligently behind the scenes, it’s been a quiet month in regards to players arriving and departing.
Arsenal’s FFP restrictions are said to have limited their activity, with Mikel Arteta instead preparing for another big summer.
And with a quiet schedule on the pitch for the senior side right now too, it seems Edu has found time to keep an eye on Arsenal’s academy sides.
Fans will hope that the first team’s rich connection with Hale End will continue in the coming years, even if Arsenal have made lofty progress.
And with that in mind, there’s clearly a lot of talent to be excited about.
Arsenal’s under-18s beat Leicester City 4-0 in the under-18s Premier League yesterday.
Perhaps the pick of the goals was Michal Rosiak’s free-kick, his fourth set piece goal of the season.
And when watching the goal on Instagram, Edu was clearly extremely impressed.

Arsenal’s academy uploaded the goal on their Instagram today, showing Rosiak’s effort delightfully curling into the top corner.
And right on cue, Edu was ready to give his congratulations to the Arsenal youngster.
The Arsenal man simply left an emoji showing how impressed he was with Rosiak’s strike.
18-year-old Rosiak definitely is an intriguing profile for Arsenal to consider for the future.
The Poland youth international is said to be predominantly a defensive midfielder, but plays much of his football at right back.
Ian Wright was previously very excited about ‘fantastic’ Rosiak’s potential, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the club were training him in an inverted role at the back.
Both Jurrien Timber and Oleksandr Zinchenko can be considered experts at the discipline in the senior side, but it is a rare profile to find.
And perhaps that explains why Edu has been keeping such a close eye on the Arsenal youngster’s progress.
That being said, Edu may have also noticed another brilliant display at AFCON last night.
