Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise would favour a move to Manchester United over Chelsea during this summer’s transfer window, according to football.london.

The France youth international has had an injury-plagued campaign with the Eagles. He has still impressed with six goal contributions from just nine appearances.

The right-sided winger was in fine form before his recent hamstring injury, and he is expected to move on from Selhurst Park this summer with both Chelsea and United keen.

Olise played in the Blues’ academy from the age of seven to 14, but football.london claim that he would give preference to Erik ten Hag’s side as he is an avid Red Devils fan.

The attacker had a release clause worth £35 million before signing a new deal last summer. He agreed a fresh buy-out clause with the renewal which is higher in value.

Olise would be a perfect replacement for Antony

United spent £86m to purchase Antony from Ajax in the summer of 2022. The Brazilian has been a huge disappointment with only 11 goal contributions from 66 outings.

He has not made any impact in the final third this campaign and it has recently been reported that the board have offered him to Saudi Pro League clubs for around £50m.

For a similar fee, United could prise away Olise who has the potential to become an elite winger.

The 22-year-old has had injury troubles this campaign, but he has still impressed with his minimal game time. He has won a stunning 7.4 duels per appearance for Palace.

The left-footed winger has also been exceptional with his dribbling from the right side of the attack. He has won 71 per cent of his take-ons in the Premier League.

The Frenchman, who is valued at €50m (£43m) by Transfermarkt, has been superior than Antony in both aspects (3.7 duels & 41% dribbles won per league appearance).

In our view, he appears a no-brainer signing to compete with Alejandro Garnacho on the right wing. His arrival should pave the way for Antony’s departure from Old Trafford.
