Alejandro Garnacho is fast becoming one of the biggest names in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old Argentine has long been seen as the next big thing to come out of Old Trafford, and now, the Manchester United star is starting to live up to that potential.

He’s arguably one of the first names on the teamsheet at United these days, and a brace against West Ham at the weekend has only increased his standing in this team.

Speaking on Off The Ball, Keith Treacy has been discussing Garnacho’s rise to prominence, and he’s claimed that the teenager is already worth £100m after a fantastic season so far for the Red Devils.

Alejandro Garnacho is worth £100m
Treacy shared his verdict on the Argentine.

“I think realistically if someone wanted to go and get Garnacho out of Man United you’re looking at £100m. Because his age and his ceiling is so high. Could he be one of the best in the world? He has the tools, he can definitely do it, but there are a lot of hurdles between here and there. That Manchester United dressing room, it’s getting better, but there are some bad apples, and if he latches onto one of them it could go south,” Treacy said.

“Garnacho could be one of the best, I don’t like throwing that at kids because it can go south very quickly, but he’s showing me everything to suggest he could be one of the best wingers in the world.”

The future is bright

Manchester United have had to endure some truly shoddy periods over the past 10 years or so, but for the first time in a while, the future is looking extremely bright.

With Garnacho shining, Kobbie Mainoo ever improving and Rasmus Hojlund starting to find his feet, United have a core of young players that could take them forward into a new era of success.

Garnacho looks like the real deal, and at the age of just 19, it’s scary to think how good he could be in five years’ time.

Treacy is right, United may well have a £100m player on their hands here.
