Arsenal loanee Tyreece John-Jules suffers season-ending injury

Injuries have been really cruel to Arsenal striker Tyreece John-Jules.

The now-22-year-old started training with the Gunners when he was just eight. He progressed through the academy and was highly rated behind the scenes at Arsenal. Even Mikel Arteta was a big fan of him.

Since January 2020, John-Jules has spent a lot of time away on loan. He has been to six clubs, including Doncaster, Blackpool, Ipswich and most recently, Derby.

Sadly, the youngster has missed over 650 days due to injury, and his recent hamstring problem has now ruled him out for the remainder of this season, reports the BBC.

Derby County boss Paul Warne revealed today that John-Jules has returned to Arsenal after undergoing an operation and is unlikely to play again this term.

He told the BBC: “I don’t think he will play again this season. He has had an operation and is having rehab at Arsenal at the moment, so I don’t think we will see him again this season.

“I’m really sad for the kid because he was getting himself into a really good place, where he was starting to get some really good minutes.”

This could end John-Jules’ Arsenal career

Tyreece John-Jules showed so much promise during his time in Arsenal‘s academy.

The Englishman is an intelligent striker with very good movement. He is good on the ball and is a tidy finisher as well, having scored regularly for Arsenal’s youth sides.

The 22-year old’s contract at Arsenal expires at the end of this season and after his latest injury, it is very likely he will be released in the summer. He has already admitted he could leave.

That is a real shame as John-Jules’ career could’ve been very different now if he hadn’t had so many injury issues over the years.
