Arsenal may be Manchester City’s big rivals at the moment, but there’s a lot of love between the two clubs internally and individually.

Indeed, while the Gunners and the Cityzens are massive rivals on the pitch, there are links between the two clubs in terms of personnel, and there are a lot of deep-rooted friendships there.

The likes of Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish are all friends from England duty, while Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta themselves are very close as former colleagues.

Of course, both Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko used to play for Man City before joining Arsenal, and speaking on ESPN’s TikTok page, Bernardo Silva has been asked about his two former teammates.

Silva was asked to decide between Jesus and Zinchenko, and he says that he actually couldn’t pick between these two players, claiming that he loves them both and are his close friends.

Bernardo Silva loves Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko

The midfielder spoke about the two Man City stars.

“Gabriel Jesus or Oleksandr Zinchenko?” Silva was asked.

“Oh my god, I love them both, they’re both my friends, I can’t answer that,” Silva said.

Friends to rivals
Silva says that Jesus and Zinchenko are his good friends, but make no mistake about it, they’re huge rivals on the pitch.

Yes, they may get on off the pitch, but you can’t have friends in a title race.

At the end of the season, these players may all get together and socialise, but, right now, there will be a fair bit of ill-will between City and Arsenal as they both aim to achieve the same goal come the end of the season.

The links between the City and Arsenal personnel make this a very interesting rivalry at the moment.
